Can I apply for a new mortgage before I sell my current home (where I have a mortgage)?
We own a house right now, but we know that we will need to sell it and buy a new home around November this year. Can we apply now and pre-approved for our next home until we sells the home, we live in now that we currently have a mortgage on? We plan to put our current home for sale in about a month.
You should certainly try, because a pre-approval will help you negotiate with the seller. remember that no sale closes in less than 90 days, even in a good market.
