What are some ways to lower my student loan interest rate?
I consolidated my student loans a few years ago and the rate is 4.75%. I think it will be that rate for the remainder of the recovery period is around 30 years. Are there any other way I can lower that rate, apart from the usual 0.25% discount when using automatic debit or 1% rebate after paying on time 3 years?
Shop around with your local credit unions not banks to see what they offer. You can try to refinance. Or call your lender to see what they offer.
