Donate / give away a timeshare?
I have a large timeshare unit in Hilton Head, South Carolina and a timeshare unit in Atlantic City, NJ. I can not afford to carry out the maintenance work each year in addition to my home mortgage, car payments, feeding / clothing / etc 2 children, etc. I would like to donate them units, so I will be free of maintenance fee and will get tax relief on this donation. Does anybody know what charities accept tax-deductable Timeshare donations? I really need to know! Help! Does anyone know of a charitg that will accept them immediately and take ownership of them? I contacted a charity and they told me they would try to sell it, but the units would be mine (maintenance too!), Until they could sell it, "usually within for 6 months. "I would like to donate them now receive a tax deduction ASAP, no more maintenance fees, let me know if you have any information on this, ASAP, thank you!
